Cardiff Personal Trainer And Cardiff Bootcamp Expert Explains: How To Make Your Personal Trainer Bussiness Run Smoothly
Cardiff personal trainer, Sam O’Sullivan explains what it takes to run asuccessful personal training business. I have been a successful personaltrainer in Cardiiff, South Wales for many years. My job actually involvesmanaging 16 Cardiff personal trainers. I managed a team of 7 newport personaltrainers, prior to my new job and I now know the secrets of getting clients ingreat shape and making a success of a South Wales personal trainingbusiness.
You can’t possibly do everything that it takes to run a hugely successfulpersonal training business, which makes a lot of money completely on your own.And if you do manage it then chances are you are working 50,60 or even 70 hoursa week to achieve it. And if you’re doing that, well, you can forget aboutgoing on holiday even once a year. Now if you’re like me that doesn’t soundlike much fun. Its no good just making a load of money if you never actuallyhave the time to enjoy it. Yeah I wanna be on a nice beach somewhere chillingout while my business takes care of itself for a couple of weeks. But in orderto do this you have to understand something. You have to understand the conceptof a business that relies on systems, not on you.
The ultimate example of this is Macdonalds. Yeah I know I’m gonna get somestick for bigging up Maccy D’s to a load of personal trainers but hear me out!!Macdonalds is the ultimate systemised business. It is a franchise where everysingle thing has a system. When you become a Macdonalds franchisee youbasically get a book which explains every single system and how to do them. Andthis is exactly how they manage to achieve such amazing consistency acrossthousands of branches across the world, and bear in mind that most of the staffworking at Macdonalds aren’t geniuses. In fact most of them are monkeys. So howis any of this going to help your personal training business I hear youask?
Well what I’m getting at is that in order for you to produce consistentlyhigh levels of whatever your doing (marketing, updating your website, sendingout communication to your clients, referral campaigns, lead generation, upselling additional products, public speaking…..) you need to put a system inplace for it. Write it down.
